Non-Surgical Treatment
Mulberry House Clinic patient Helle has kindly shared her review of non-surgical face lift using Belotero dermal fillers.
Using advanced injecting techniques known as ‘profiloplasty’, Dr John Tanqueray used Belotero to sculpt the facial features to create a more youthful profile.
“Magic in one teaspoon…”
Helle says:
“I have read and heard numerous outcomes about fillers being used for a full “face-lift“.
“Over the past 6 years I have had fillers for various parts of my face but I have never had my face sculpted in one go, so I decided to give it a try.
“As most of us don’t have perfect facial structure, having the face contoured and balanced in one go can help to achieve that. It involves shaping cheekbones, forehead, chin, jawline and sometimes even the nose. It used to be done by a full face lift but nowadays fillers can do a very similar job, costing less and having next-to-no recovery time.
“Dr Tanqueray used five and half syringes of Belotero fillers (which is just one teaspoon) for this profiloplasty method to create higher cheekbones, plumper cheeks, triangular chin, defined jawline and a more shaped forehead.
“A little bit of filler was also used under my eyes to make them less shallow.
“The whole process took about an hour with various injection techniques.
“I have to admit that while it wasn’t really painful, it was a bit uncomfortable, but at the same time not unbearable either. My face was a little bit puffed up for an hour or so but I returned to work the following day and nobody asked any questions. It takes about 2-3 weeks for the full effect to take place and I did start getting compliments about looking more youthful and refreshed.
“The most noticeable difference is in my chin, which is now more shaped and triangular. That was the first thing I noticed. People have also commented on my cheeks and a better contoured jawline from the side view.
“Belotero fillers are very soft and natural. My friends and colleagues, who knew about this procedure, have been touching my face and they are all amazed by how natural it feels. I am over the moon with the results and I would not hesitate to have it done again in the future. I would only trust a very skilled practitioner with profiloplasty as it could easily go wrong under inexperienced hands – as also seen in the media.
