Radiesse®

Radiesse® is a well-known brand of volumising dermal filler.

It was first launched in the USA in the year 2000 and subsequently in Europe in 2004.  In that time, millions of successful treatments have been carried out, addressing the common signs of ageing caused by volume loss and collagen depletion, including:

  • Facial lines and wrinkles
  • Creases and folds
  • Depressions
  • Laxity (loose skin)
  • Smile lines, marionette lines, lip lines
  • Nose to mouth lines (nasolabial folds)
  • Downturned smile
  • Jaw definition
  • Shallow cheeks
  • Hand rejuvenation

Radiesse® is made of a biocompatible synthetic formula containing calcium hydroxylapatite, a substance which has been safely used in the human body for over 25 years.

How does Radiesse® work?

When injected into the facial tissues, it immediately restores lost volume, smoothing and plumping the skin tissues and helping to restore a natural, more youthful-looking appearance.

Over time, the benefits of Radiesse® continue, as the calcium hydroxylapatite stimulates your body’s own natural collagen for longer-lasting and natural-looking results.

Radiesse® Dermal Filler FAQs

Radiesse™ is approximately 30% synthetic Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended in a gel carrier which accounts for approximately 70% of the product volume.

The CaHA spheres are composed of calcium and phosphate ions which occur naturally in human tissue.

Yes, Radiesse® has a very high safety record with many years in use. It is a synthetic formula which will not produce any toxic or allergic response.

Yes, the formulation is completely synthetic. There are no animal or human derived components.

The results are very natural and designed to maintaining your unique distinctive features while improving on those particular imperfections or signs of ageing that are being treated.

Radiesse® is a temporary filler.  After injections, the gel is gradually absorbed into the body. The body works to metabolise the Calcium Hydroxylapatite microspheres, which boosts the natural collagen in your skin.

We do not recommend permanent fillers at all nowadays.

You will be advised to avoid strenuous activity and any sun or heat exposure for about 24 hours after treatment.

With any dermal fillers, you may experience a little swelling in the localised area for a few hours. Occasionally the skin may bruise, although this is rare with our injection techniques.

Radiesse® is clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients.

Costs vary depending on the amount of product required to achieve the right result. See our price list for an indication. Prices will be confirmed during your consultation.
