ResurFX™ Laser Skin Resurfacing

Fractional Non-Ablative Treatment

m22 ipl

Mulberry House Clinic is now offering true fractional non-ablative laser skin resurfacing treatment with ResurFX™.

ResurFX is a non-ablative photo-fractional skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatment.

Fractional non-ablative laser treatments really provide the best of both worlds.

  • The word ‘fractional’ implies that the treatment only affects a percentage of the skin. The laser is delivered in tiny ‘dots’ rather than all over, yet works very effectively to stimulate the skin
  • The phrase ‘non-ablative’ means that the treatment does not destroy skin cells; so clients are able to see great results with minimum damage and recovery

In ResurFX treatment, laser energy is delivered into the lower dermis layers where it works to stimulate collagen growth and healing. Yet the ‘fractional non-ablative’ nature of treatment means that it does not damage the outer layer of the skin. Therefore downtime and recovery are significantly lower than with the more aggressive ‘ablative’ alternatives which incur more downtime and recovery.

Collagen stimulation improves the skin over the following weeks, so that it appears more youthful, tighter and with a more even complexion.

ResurFX is delivered using the innovative and versatile M22 multi-platform system, which arrived at Mulberry House Clinic in 2018.

ResurFX treatment can improve a host of skin conditions, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Age spots/sun spots
  • Hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone or discoloration
  • Scars from acne or surgery
  • Loose skin

ResurFX™ Laser Skin Resurfacing FAQs

The M22 system is classified as a medical device. Therefore ResurFX treatment is only available in selected skin clinics who have chosen to invest in this advanced technology.

It is available at Mulberry House Clinic based in Hardingstone, Northamptonshire.

At our clinic, treatment is carried out by Liz Tanqueray, a former nurse with many years experience in carrying out laser hair removal and laser skin treatments.

Yes – ResurFX can be used very effectively in conjunction with fillers and BOTOX for an enhanced result.

This is a real advantage of the treatment, as some other more aggressive laser/IPL treatments are not suitable in conjunction with cosmetic injections.

No – the ResurFX is also equipped with continuous contact air cooling to ensure your skin remains comfortable throughout treatment.

What’s more, the ResurFX system incorporates CoolScan which ensures that the skin does not overheat and the laser is distributed evenly and accurately over the skin.

We generally recommend a course of 4 sessions. You will probably see an improvement after just one treatment, but over a course, better results will develop, because each successive session builds on the progress made previously.

Most patients notice a difference after just one session, with pores looking smaller and a general healthy ‘glow’ to the skin.

Results develop as collagen grows, so improvement in skin condition, complexion and tightness is a more gradual process which can improve for up to 6 months.

ResurFX™ treatment is not suitable if there are any active viral, fungal or bacterial infections. It is not suitable for inflammatory skin conditions and may not be used in cases of skin cancer.

We may use an anaesthetic cream to ensure comfort and the cooling air ensures that the treatment is quite tolerable. Your skin may feel a warm or prickly when the laser is applied, but it won’t be uncomfortable.

This treatment is generally well tolerated and can be described as a ‘lunchtime procedure’ due to the low downtime. Risks to be aware of include: redness, swelling, scarring or change of pigmentation; but most patients do not experience these or else in very minor way.

ResurFX fractional non-ablative laser treatment is carried out at our clinic in Hardingstone, near Northampton, Northamptonshire. We are close to the M1 and welcome clients coming from Coventry, Rugby, Leicester and even Birmingham.
