Tixel® Heat Treatment – Awards Finalist

Non-Surgical Anti-Ageing System

tixelTixel® Thermal Fractional Rejuvenation is one of the finalists in the 2018 Aesthetics Awards in the category ‘Product Innovation of the Year’.

Tixel® has been a very exciting innovation in the skin rejuvenation market, as it uses application of heat rather than injections or laser in order to improve the skin.

The awards nomination explains:

“The Novoxel Tixel system was developed to produce dramatic results comparable to those achieved with fractional ablative lasers like CO2, but with significant benefits over competitive technologies both for the patients and the users.”

The benefits of Tixel® vs comparative technologies are very appealing for anyone who wishes to look younger but avoid more risky procedures or lengthier downtime, as treatment is safe and effective.

  • Tixel uses pure heat energy for the controlled evaporation of tissue – so no needles, lasers or chemicals are involved.
  • Can improve a variety of issues – wrinkles, lines, sun damage, pigmentation, acne, skin tone
  • Visible results – skin is more radiant and luminous
  • Excellent safety profile
  • Safe on all Fitzpatrick skin types, low risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation
  • Versatile – choose from ablative, non-ablative or open-channel treatment
  • Minimal downtime – non-ablative treatment will normally just involve some initial redness and warmth post-treatment, which will settle within a few hours. Ablative may incur some crusting and you may wish to take a couple of days off after intensive treatment

The Aesthetics Awards category judging criteria explains how the finalists were chosen and how the winner will be selected by a panel of experts:

“This award recognises the most innovative products on the market. Eligible products must have been launched into the UK market after 1 January 2017. The judges will look for genuine innovation or product advancement leading to treatment for new indications, quicker or easier treatments, better treatment outcomes, enhanced patient safety, backed up by sound evidence. There will be no voting process and the winner will be decided by the judging panel.”
