Juvéderm VOLUMA®, the advanced dermal filler from Allergan, has made it to the final stage of the 2018 Aesthetics Awards in the category ‘Injectable Product of the Year’.
Juvéderm VOLUMA® is one of the new generation of dermal fillers with longer-lasting results.
The advanced formulation of cohesive, 3D hyaluronic acid has been developed specifically to add volume to the face to tackle age-related volume loss in the mid-face area. Juvéderm VOLUMA® is a much thicker hyaluronic acid gel than the original Juvéderm ULTRA® and it incorporates the Vycross range’s modified cross-linking technique with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid in order to create a more viscous, even and smooth result.
This advanced cosmetic injection product is used primarily to replenish and restore volume loss in the cheeks, which tend to flatten and become saggy with age as volume is lost. It can also be used in the chin and jaw area.
Juvéderm VOLUMA® is injected beneath the skin’s surface, where it adds volume in order to lift and contour the cheek area, thereby creating a more youthful appearance.

Injectable Product of the Year
Juvéderm VOLUMA® will be competing against 9 other finalists in the competitive category of Injectable Product of the Year. Other finalists are: RRS®, Restylane® Lyft, Aliaxin®, V SOFT LIFT, BELOTERO® Lips , Cellular Matrix Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma combined with Hyaluronic Acid, Princess® Volume Plus, Ellansée and Teosyal RHA.
The winner will be selected from the finalists using a combination of 70% judges’ scores and 30% Aesthetics Journal reader votes. The winner will be announced at The Aesthetics Awards Ceremony on 1st December.
The Aesthetics Awards category judging criteria explains further:
“Finalists will be chosen from products that support a wide range of indications and can show evidence of good safety and efficacy, optimum duration and tangible benefits over similar products on the market.”
Voting and Judging Close 31st October. The winner will be announced 1st December at The Aesthetics Awards Ceremony in London.
