Black Friday has become one of the biggest retail events of the year, but you won’t find any special deals or discounts at Mulberry House Clinic.
The Northamptonshire-based skin treatment clinic does not offer promotions or discounts for Black Friday.
5 reasons we don’t do Black Friday deals
Here are a few reasons why…
1/ Medical company, ethical position
You may not be aware, but for a number of years, it has actually been illegal to advertise ‘BOTOX®’ as well as other brands including Bocouture and Vistabel, Azzalure and Dysport.
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medication and regulations mean that it should not be advertised or promoted. More information on the regulations and guidelines is outlined on the ASA website at https://www.asa.org.uk/news/botox-and-other-poms.html.
We believe that dermal fillers should be subject to similar regulations in the future, although there is no prospect of the short term.
Therefore it is our view that any advertising or discounting of these injectable, medical, cosmetic procedures is inappropriate.
2/ Every day good value
At Mulberry House Clinic, it is our aim to present good value year round. Our prices are set thoughtfully, based on the time involved in delivering treatments as well as the cost of product and technology. We’d never wish to participate ‘hike’ prices in order to discount them at certain times of the year. We simply want to give our customers the best value for a high quality service in a medical setting.
3/ Established company, position of trust
Many of those offering big discounts on facials and beauty treatments tend to be independent, high street beauticians. They may be building up a business and keen to attract new clientele through discounting.
At Mulberry House Clinic, we’ve built up a loyal clientele over the last 18+ years. We’d never wish to betray their trust by discounting treatments that were sold a week earlier at a higher price.
4/ Limited availability
Demand for skin treatments has been exceptionally high this year. Over the summer, we even had to introduce a waiting list for new clients, so that our regular patients don’t have to wait too long for an appointment.
5/ Buy what you want, when you want
Black Friday critics say that the even encourages people to spend money they don’t have on things they don’t need. We would not wish to be a part of that.
Special offers at Mulberry House Clinic are very few and far between.
We value our patients every day of the year and want our clients to feel confident they’re getting great treatment at sensible prices whenever they choose to visit us.
