Radiesse® Dilute & Hyperdilute

The same trusted product. A different concentration. A completely different application.

Radiesse® Dilute and Hyperdilute take a product with a twenty-year track record and unlock a new set of possibilities by adjusting how it is prepared. The result is a highly versatile collagen-stimulating treatment that works not just on the face, but across the body.

How dilution changes everything.

Radiesse® in its standard form is a volumising dermal filler — firm enough to provide structural support to areas like the jawline and cheeks, and clinically proven to stimulate collagen production over time. But its properties are not fixed. When the concentration is adjusted, its behaviour changes fundamentally.

Radiesse® Dilute — mixed to a lower concentration — becomes a softer, more spreadable product. It loses its volumising properties but retains its collagen-stimulating effect. Rather than adding structure, it improves the quality and firmness of the skin itself, working across a broader area with a lighter touch.

Radiesse® Hyperdilute — diluted further still — is no longer a filler in any conventional sense. It adds no volume whatsoever. Instead it becomes a collagen-stimulating liquid, delivering calcium hydroxylapatite particles widely through the tissue where they trigger the body’s own collagen and elastin production over the months that follow.

At Mulberry House, the diluent used is not simply saline. There is good evidence that outcomes are enhanced by using a skin micronutrient mixture — a preparation containing the amino acids, vitamins and minerals the skin needs to produce collagen effectively. The treatment therefore delivers both the stimulus and the building blocks for genuine skin renewal.

Radiesse® Dilute and Hyperdilute represent an off-licence use of the product. However this approach has been widely adopted internationally, is supported by over 220 peer-reviewed publications, and has a well-understood and thoroughly evidenced mechanism of action. Our clinical team is confident in recommending it on this basis.

The concerns it addresses.

Because it can be applied over large areas and works to improve skin quality rather than add volume, Radiesse® Dilute and Hyperdilute opens up treatment possibilities that conventional fillers cannot address.

It works well for skin laxity and crepiness of the face, neck and décolleté, loss of skin firmness and elasticity in the lower face and jowl area, skin quality improvement on the hands, and for patients who want gradual, natural skin improvement without added volume.

It is also particularly effective when combined with energy-based treatments such as Ultherapy® — the two approaches work synergistically and can be planned together for patients who want a more comprehensive result.

A gradual, building result.

Like Sculptra®, Radiesse® Dilute and Hyperdilute work over time rather than immediately. The treatment is typically given as a course — the number of sessions and spacing will depend on the area being treated and the degree of improvement sought. Your clinician will agree a plan at consultation.

The treatment involves injecting the diluted product across the target area, usually via a cannula for larger areas, allowing even distribution through the tissue. Discomfort is minimal. There may be mild swelling or occasional bruising, which settles within a few days.

Results begin to emerge over the six to twelve weeks following treatment as new collagen develops, and continue to improve over subsequent months. The collagen-stimulating effect lasts approximately twelve months, after which a maintenance session can sustain and build on the improvement.

An honest assessment.

Radiesse® Dilute and Hyperdilute suits patients who are concerned about skin quality, laxity or crepiness — particularly in areas where conventional fillers cannot reach or would not be appropriate. It is an excellent option for patients who have already addressed facial volume and structure and now want to focus on the skin itself, and for those looking to treat areas beyond the face.

It works well for patients concerned about skin laxity or loss of firmness in the face, neck or décolleté, those who want a gradual natural improvement that builds over time, those interested in treating areas beyond the face, and those who want to combine injectable collagen stimulation with an energy-based treatment.

It may not be appropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or are looking for immediate volumising results — in which case standard Radiesse® or another filler would be more appropriate.
