Mulberry House Clinic is now offering its full range of treatments once again, including facial exfoliation and IPL hair removal, with availability for new clients.
After closing during the lockdown, the clinic initially reopened in June, offering treatments of a more medical nature with Dr John Tanqueray, including injectable dermal fillers and wrinkle relaxing injections.
It was not until mid-August that the government lifted restrictions on ‘non-medical’ treatments such as facial exfoliation (peels or microdermabrasion), IPL and laser hair removal. Since then, the clinic has remained very busy seeing regular clients who were keen to resume their normal treatment regimes as well as those who had pre-booked treatment.
Now as autumn approaches, the team are opening up capacity for new bookings for these treatments:
- IPL facial treatment – great for tackling the signs of sun damage including pigmentation as well as ageing and poor skin texture
- Tixel thermal fractional rejuvenation – a versatile treatment that uses heat instead of chemicals or injectables to stimulate the skin’s recovery mechanisms, improving the skin’s health as well as its appearance
- Facial peels and microdermabrasion – these professional chemical and mechanical treatments provide intensive exfoliation, stripping away the outer layer of dead skin cells to reveal fresher skin beneath as well as stimulating regeneration of skin cells
- Hair removal – intense pulsed light IPL treatments using advanced technology to reduce unwanted hair, giving smoother skin with hardly any maintenance in terms of shaving or waxing required
These treatments are among the most popular options at Mulberry House Clinic. They are quick to carry out and have minimal downtime or recovery implications.
All treatments are carried out in full compliance with the coronavirus guidelines. As a medical company, Mulberry House Clinic take the fullest precautions to keep patients as well as staff safe for every appointment.

What to expect on arrival
- Please wait in your car until we come to greet you or text to let you know that the clinic is ready for you.
- Please arrive unaccompanied
- Come without make-up and limit any personal possessions you bring to the bare minimum
- Use hand sanitiser provided when you arrive and as you leave
- You will be offered a face covering
- We will check your temperature with a no-contact thermometer
- Maintain a 2m distance from anyone (except where this is unavoidable in the course of your treatment)
What to expect for your treatment
- Appointment times will be made longer to allow for the COVID measures we have in place
- We will only have one person within the clinic at a time
- The treatment room will be thoroughly ventilated before and after your appointment
- Relevant surfaces and items will be disinfected before and after your appointment
- A deep clean of the treatment room will take place at the end of each day
- We will be wearing appropriate protective clothing for your and our own protection
Payment
- We will not be changing our treatment costs in spite of all the above.
- You are welcome to make payment by BACS
- Payment by card will still be possible and contactless payment is available

When not to attend?
Please call to defer your appointment if any of the following apply:
- Known coronavirus infection in the last 14 days
- Any reason to suspect that you are or may be infected – symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose in the last 14 days, shortness of breath, sore throat
- Any contact with anyone who is infected
- You are pregnant
- You have returned from travel abroad in the last 2 weeks
At risk groups
Think carefully about how important this appointment is to you, and whether you accept the additional risk of an appointment, especially if:
- You have any risk factors such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, raised blood pressure, immune suppression, current cancer treatment
- You are over 70
- You have vulnerable people in your household or family
