IPL Rosacea Treatment

IPL light penetrates the skin and warms the deeper tissues, stimulating production of collagen and elastin as well as cell renewal. This can help the skin to heal from within.

When the light penetrates the tissue, it is absorbed by the blood chromophores that form vascular lesions such as broken capillaries and generalised redness/flushing. The IPL damages and destroys them to be then removed by the body’s metabolic system, leaving clearer and more youthful skin. This serves to improve poor complexion caused by rosacea.

IPL hair removal is carried out by Liz Tanqueray, a former nurse with many years experience of carrying out laser and hair removal treatments. IPL treatment for rosacea may be carried out by Dr John Tanqueray.

You may see results after just one session, but for the best outcome, we recommend a course of treatment. Each session builds on the progress made in the previous treatment, building up better results each time.

The use of M22 IPL could cause redness, swelling, scarring, change of pigmentation.

IPL is generally described as a short-sharp sensation – a bit like an elastic band snapping against the skin. It passes very quickly.

M22 Universal IPL is a very versatile treatment, suitable for women and men, face and body. However, we are not able to offer it for patients with active infection, viral, fungal or bacterial diseases.

IPL is not suitable for tanned skin. Please avoid sun exposure (including sun beds/fake tan) before and during courses of IPL treatment.
