Thermal Fractional Skin Rejuvenation
Tixel is the ‘hot’ skin treatment that ticks all the boxes for safe, non-invasive yet highly effective skin rejuvenation treatment.
It is a unique non-surgical skin treatment device. Using no chemicals or injections, pure intense heat is transferred to the skin for the briefest of applications via a multi-pronged thermo mechanical fractional titanium alloy tip.
The treatment leads to skin cell renewal, tightening and reversal of sun damage. It is especially effective around the eye area, face and can be used on the body too where required (e.g. neck/chest/decolletage).
Tixel can be used for all Fitzpatrick skin types and the procedure is less painful and safer than the more aggressive laser-based alternatives. However, results are potentially very compelling, achieving equivalent to fractional CO₂ and erbium lasers with greater comfort and less downtime.
3 Tixel Treatment Modes
While application of intense heat may sound dramatic, the system is highly controllable and adaptable. Tixel features a choice of 3 treatment modes, each of which can be precisely configured to suit the area, condition and patient requirements:
- Ablative treatment:
Ablative is the most intensive treatment, which can give effective results on skin tightening and scar treatment. Tixel creates channels in the skin to promote more intensive healing. Results will be similar to deep chemical peel or fractional CO2 laser resurfacing treatment with 2+ days recovery time. - Non-Ablative treatment:
Non-ablative treatment can ultimately give the same skin tightening result as the ablative treatment. It will require more treatments, but being less aggressive, requires no recovery time. Results will be similar to medium chemical peel but without the recovery time. - “Open-Channel” treatment:
Open-channel treatment makes the skin porous in order to allow penetration of topical treatments. This can be used in treatment of skin pigmentation problems such as Melasma or Hyperpigmentation.
