What’s ahead for cosmetic treatments?
“We are commonly asked if we have any new treatments – we took on Ultherapy 18 months ago and Belotero Revive in May and both have proved successful – but we have not introduced any new treatments recently. There are two problems here – firstly a lot of treatments that claim to be new are nothing more than a variation of something that already exists, and secondly we feel that any completely new treatment needs to prove itself to be effective and safe.
“We do keep a watch on newer treatments as they emerge, and we think we have found something very interesting.
“John has been in communication with a company in South Korea that has taken an established compound and formulated it in an innovative way to produce a simple injectable treatment, GOURI, that can stimulate collagen without adding volume, firming the skin, reducing crepiness and reducing lines.
“This can be used for the whole face, or can focus on the eye area, which has traditionally been a difficult area to treat successfully.
“Because this treatment uses a well-known compound that has been used in injectables for a good number of years we feel we can have a high level of confidence in the safety and effectiveness of this treatment.
“We are looking forward to seeing how well this performs in a small sample of patients and will let you know in the next few months if this is going to become a mainstream treatment at Mulberry House Clinic.”
Mulberry House Clinic is known for being at the forefront of technology and techniques, offering a broad range of injectables and technology that is rarely matched elsewhere, even in the most exclusive Harley Street clinics. Yet the company is quite selective about only offering treatments that are considered to be safe and effective.
The team are constantly evaluating new products and treatments. They’re even happy to replace tried and tested systems when something newer and better is available. A couple of years, their trusted laser hair removal machine was replaced with IPL, which delivers a better experience for patients all round and superior results to those which were achievable using Nd:Yag equipment.
Similarly, they’ve also been very keen to promote TIXEL thermal fractional rejuvenation treatment in lieu of other technologies, as it offers superior results with lower downtime.
The spirit of wanting to provide safe and effective treatment has kept Mulberry House Clinic & Laser centre at the forefront of the industry for 19 years. We look forward to sharing the journey with our clients.
