What Makes Someone Attractive?

Dr TanquerayDr John Tanqueray is an expert when it comes to facial aesthetics and skin treatments.

He shares his views on what makes a person attractive. Natural beauty is just one element. He explains that attractiveness is a combination of 3 factors:

  1. Beauty
  2. Self-confidence
  3. Genuineness

What Makes Someone Attractive?

“Attractiveness” comes from a combination of beauty, self-confidence and genuineness. We believe that all of these are relevant to the work we do at Mulberry House Clinic.

Many people assume that we are here purely to make people “beautiful”, but this is only partly true. We believe that across all the treatments we offer the most important benefit of every one of them is to improve self-confidence.

The combination of becoming more beautiful and more self-confident can be a powerful one – we know that attractive people are more successful in a variety of ways, and we regularly see the effects of this in our patients’ personal and working lives.

But can we really alter these?

BEAUTY

There are certain shapes, proportions and features that are universally found to be beautiful in all cultures. We can use these “rules” to make the best of our features – the changes that we make may be imperceptibly small but the impact can still be significant. When done correctly no-one will know that you’ve had treatment but you may find you are receiving compliments over how well you look, or what good skincare you must be using.

SELF-CONFIDENCE

We all have a internal image of ourselves, but sometimes this is not matched by what we see in the mirror – this mismatch may arise as we get older, through a medical skin problem, or result from the shape of our nose or chin for example.

Friends or family may dismiss these concerns as trivial, however for the individual they can feel very significant, even to the point that if can affect the way we live our lives.

If treatment can successfully address the areas of concern self-confidence can certainly be improved.

GENUINENESS

The third component of attractiveness is appearing genuine. A genuine person will be natural and open – someone who does not appear to be hiding anything, and is associating with us because they wish to, not for some personal gain.

Conclusion?

attractivenessAttractiveness is About More Than Appearance

So beauty, or attractiveness, really is more than skin deep. There are many factors that affect the way we feel about ourselves and how we appear to others.

We believe that the successful outcomes we achieve for our patients rely on our understanding these processes, and by sharing with you a realistic idea of what can be achieved.
