BOTOX® To Hide Emotion
Dannii Minogue has admitted to using BOTOX at difficult times in her life to hide the emotional signs.
In an interview with Daily Telegraph’s Stella magazine, she said:
“I don’t think I’m the only woman to use Botox that way.
“Except a lot of times I think it might be a subconscious thing – that you don’t want people to see how you really feel.”
There are those who intentionally choose BOTOX treatment in order to present an intentionally calmer and less expressive face to the world. For example, people working in negotiation or in law can find it a strategic advantage in the workplace.
Similarly, those going through a tough time personally can find that their face can show the signs of stress and upset, especially when relaxed. BOTOX treatment is useful for smoothing out permanent frown lines or addressing a downturned smile.
Natural-Looking Anti-Ageing
However, for the majority of he over treated or ‘frozen look’ is not generally considered to present the best side of the industry with a natural look being favoured by top practitioners. This demands skill and experience.
Dr John Tanqueray, an aesthetic practitioner who established his private practice in 2003 while still working as a GP, has produced a very informative video for patients considering treatments such as BOTOX® or dermal fillers.
Common myths and concerns about cosmetic treatments
Dr Tanqueray says:
“Poor outcomes are usually the result of excessive or injudicious treatment or the use of inappropriate products.”
