Pigmentation problems can be quite distressing and patients have usually already tried a range of solutions before they visit the clinic expecting laser treatment or a deep peel.
Mulberry House Clinic’s latest video explains why skin creams can be a good solution. The creams recommended for pigmentation are often prescription based which means that they will have proven their efficacy in order to gain a license. They are therefore more likely to be effective than any non-prescription cream the patient has tried before.
Creams should also be considered before other cosmetic treatments as they are
- Effective – proven results with other patients
- Cost effective – usually much cheaper than treatment with laser
- Safe – a less invasive option than cosmetic treatments
Pigmentation problems firstly have to be properly diagnosed and understood. Dr John Tanqueray is a fully qualified GP and very experienced in providing skin treatments. He always carries out a full skin consultation so that the condition can be fully assessed in order to provide the right treatment option.
He says:
“In my experience it’s actually very rare that someone doesn’t have very pleasing results with the creams alone and it’s not very common that we go on to do the peel on top of that.”
