Microdermabrasion

Fine abrasive crystals and controlled vacuum pressure work together to exfoliate the skin’s surface, removing dead and congested cells while stimulating circulation and encouraging natural renewal. Immediately afterwards, moisturising creams and serums are applied — the freshly resurfaced skin absorbs these far more readily, giving them significantly greater effect.

It is effective for fine lines, enlarged or clogged pores, blackheads, uneven skin tone, sun damage, pigmentation, oily or dry skin, and general dullness. Over a course of treatments, the repeated exfoliation stimulates new skin cells containing higher levels of collagen and elastin — producing results that build progressively with each session.

Treatment takes around 30 to 45 minutes. It is entirely comfortable — no anaesthetic required, no recovery period. Skin may appear slightly flushed for an hour or two before settling into the cleaner, smoother result. You can return to normal activities, including wearing makeup, immediately.

For patients who want a stronger result, microdermabrasion combines well with a course of chemical peels — the two treatments complement each other and together offer a more significant improvement in texture, tone and clarity with no additional downtime.
