About the clinic

What makes Mulberry House different from other aesthetic clinics?

Mulberry House is a doctor-led clinic, which means every treatment plan is overseen by a qualified medical practitioner with over two decades of experience in aesthetic medicine. We are not a beauty salon that offers injectables — we are a medical practice that specialises in skin health and facial aesthetics. Every new patient begins with a consultation, not a treatment, and we will always tell you honestly if we do not think a treatment is right for you.

Who carries out treatments at Mulberry House?

Our clinical lead is Dr John Tanqueray, a former GP who has specialised in aesthetic medicine since 2003. All initial consultations, treatment plans and prescribing are carried out under Dr Tanqueray’s clinical oversight. We also have Jenna Johnston, our specialist aesthetician, who delivers device-based and skincare treatments.

Where is the clinic located?

Mulberry House is based at Great Addington Manor, Cranford Road, Great Addington, Northamptonshire, NN14 4BH. The clinic is set within a beautiful manor house in a quiet rural location, approximately 15 minutes from Kettering and 20 minutes from Wellingborough. Full directions and parking information are available on our Locations page.

How do I book a consultation?

You can book by calling us on 01604 702 630, emailing info@mulberryhouseclinic.co.uk, or using the Book a Consultation button on our website. All new patients are seen for a consultation before any treatment is agreed.

What happens at a first consultation?

Your consultation is an unhurried conversation about your concerns, your medical history, and what you are hoping to achieve. We will assess your skin and facial anatomy, discuss the treatments that may be appropriate, and give you time to ask questions. There is no pressure to proceed. Many patients find that the consultation itself is valuable — it gives them clarity about their options and confidence in their decisions.

How much do treatments cost?

Our pricing is available on the Pricing page. We believe in transparent pricing and do not use high-pressure sales tactics or time-limited offers. If you have questions about the cost of a specific treatment, please call or email us and we will be happy to discuss.

Do you offer payment plans?

We do not currently offer finance or payment plans. All treatments are paid for at the time of appointment.

About the treatments

What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?

Botox (botulinum toxin) works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause expression lines — frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet and bunny lines. Dermal fillers are injectable gels, typically made from hyaluronic acid, that add volume and structure to areas of the face. The two treatments work differently and are often used together as part of a comprehensive facial rejuvenation plan.

What are skin boosters and do they work?

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that deliver hyaluronic acid or other hydrating compounds directly into the skin to improve hydration, texture, elasticity and radiance. Unlike dermal fillers, they do not add volume — they work within the skin itself. Products such as Profhilo and Polynucleotides have strong clinical evidence behind them and consistently produce visible improvements in skin quality. They work best as part of an ongoing skin health programme rather than as a one-off treatment.

Is tear trough filler safe?

Tear trough filler can produce excellent results in the right candidate, but it is one of the more technically demanding injectable treatments and carries a higher risk profile than many other filler treatments. At Mulberry House it is only performed by Dr Tanqueray following careful assessment of your anatomy and skin quality. We turn away patients for whom we do not feel filler is appropriate in this area — we would rather refer you elsewhere than compromise your safety or your result.

What is the difference between Profhilo and Polynucleotides?

Both are injectable skin quality treatments but they work differently. Profhilo is a high-concentration hyaluronic acid treatment that hydrates deeply and stimulates collagen and elastin production. Polynucleotides (such as Plenhyage XL) use DNA fragments derived from salmon to repair, regenerate and strengthen the skin at a cellular level. Polynucleotides tend to produce slower but more restorative results and are particularly effective for skin that has been damaged by sun exposure or ageing. Many patients benefit from both treatments used together.

What are collagen stimulating treatments?

Collagen stimulating treatments — also known as biostimulators — are injectables that trigger your body’s own collagen production rather than simply adding volume. Products such as Sculptra, Radiesse and Gouri work gradually over several months to restore structural support and improve skin quality from within. Results develop slowly and last significantly longer than traditional dermal fillers — often two years or more.

What is Tixel and how does it work?

Tixel is an advanced skin resurfacing treatment that uses controlled thermal energy — heat — to create microscopic channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing and collagen renewal response. Unlike laser treatments, Tixel uses no light energy, making it suitable for a wider range of skin types. We offer three Tixel tiers — Glow, Pro and Resurface — each calibrated to a different depth and intensity depending on your skin concerns and downtime tolerance.

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is the only non-surgical treatment to use focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin at a foundational level — the same layer addressed in surgical facelifts. It stimulates deep collagen production without breaking the surface of the skin, with results that develop over three to six months and typically last one to two years. It is particularly effective for the brow, jawline, neck and décolletage.

How long does Botox last?

Anti-wrinkle injections typically last between three and six months, depending on the area treated, the dose used, and individual metabolism. With regular maintenance treatments, many patients find that results last progressively longer over time.

Is IPL hair removal safe and does it work?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal is a safe and effective long-term hair reduction treatment when carried out on appropriate skin and hair types using professional-grade equipment. We use the Lumenis M22 system, one of the most clinically validated IPL platforms available. A course of treatments is required for best results, and we will assess your suitability at consultation.

What is ResurFX?

ResurFX is a fractional non-ablative laser skin resurfacing treatment delivered by the Lumenis M22 platform. It improves skin texture, tone, fine lines, scarring and sun damage by stimulating collagen renewal within the skin. It requires minimal downtime compared to ablative laser treatments and can be combined with IPL in a single session using the M22 system.

Do skin boosters help with wrinkles?

Skin boosters do not directly fill wrinkles in the way dermal fillers do. However by improving deep hydration, elasticity and collagen production they can significantly soften the appearance of fine lines and improve overall skin quality. For deeper lines or volume loss, a combination approach using both skin boosters and dermal fillers is often recommended.

What is the difference between Tixel and laser resurfacing?

Both treatments resurface the skin to improve texture, tone and collagen production, but they use different technologies. Tixel uses thermal energy via a titanium tip, while laser resurfacing uses light energy. Tixel generally offers a more comfortable experience, shorter downtime and suitability for a wider range of skin tones. Laser resurfacing can achieve deeper results in some cases. Dr Tanqueray will advise which is more appropriate for your specific concerns.
