Having used cosmetic injections to turn back the years, she was interested to see whether Tixel®, a non-injectable treatment, could rival the results.

“Some like it hot….
“I’ve been having fillers and BOTOX® for a numbers of years now which have kept the wrinkles at bay. Sadly with ageing, I have also encountered pigmentation, enlarged pores and general skin discolouration and even occasional acne, which injectable treatments wouldn’t mend.
“I waited no longer when I read about the Tixel® treatment and how many skin concerns it can tackle. I was particularly interested in the so called “open-channel” treatment which makes the skin more open to topical treatments applied afterwards.
“I was a bit apprehensive as I have had laser treatment before and while being very effective, it was extremely painful.
“Tixel® also uses heat but it is much more bearable in comparison. Dr Tanqueray applied the mesotherapy liquid to my face post treatment and I kept doing it for the next 5 hours at home. The skin felt as if I’d been in the sun a bit too long but the discomfort soon vanished.
“The following week my face started to crust. Some of the pigmentation came to the surface and overall I looked a little red and blotchy. Luckily makeup covered most of it. The second week I felt like a caterpillar that was turning into a beautiful butterfly. My skin started to glow and look more even with smaller pores.
“The most surprising part was my under eye area as the skin there looked visibly tighter. It was such an extra bonus because I didn’t expect it! I also get less spots now, on some weeks none.
“I have had 3 treatments so far and each time my skin has kept improving. As a result I wear less foundation. I don’t need to worry about the under eye area looking cakey as I hardly use any concealer there! It hasn’t completely removed all of the pigmentation but it is less noticeable.
“I’d say the small discomfort during the treatment is worth it as I am pleased with the results and consider using it together with fillers and BOTOX® in the future.”
Tixel® Treatment
How it Works
- The Tixel® machine features a heated plate with 81 tiny pinhead pyramids
- The plate touches the skin for a fraction of a second to deliver heat without damaging deeper skin tissues or causing any great discomfort
- This causes the skin to tighten and rejuvenate
