Lip Enhancement

Having lip fillers for the first time can be slightly daunting, especially with the media covering stories of celebrities whose lip filler has gone ‘over the top. We all know that reading reviews and patient stories is really helpful for those considering their own first treatment.
Liz’s Lip Filler Patient Story
“After a lot of thought and careful consideration, I recently made the decision to have fillers in my lips; the older I have got the more I noticed that my top lip had lost a lot of volume and my mouth was also slightly asymmetrical, drooping down on the right side more than the left. However, having seen some horror stories in the press and some celebs flaunting their ridiculously oversized lips, I knew that choosing the right clinic was essential!
“I researched clinics in my local area that offer this procedure and Mulberry House’s website seemed, by far, the most professional. I gave them a call to book in for a consultation and was immediately put at ease by one of their receptionists (Jude) who assured me that the ‘trout pout’ look was definitely not something Dr Tanqueray liked to do (phew!) and that there was no pressure to go ahead with the procedure after the consultation if I changed my mind. She told me that Mulberry House is all about just naturally enhancing and correcting what is already there. She was right!
“This was reiterated during my consultation with John, where he took the time to listen to my concerns and to what I was trying to achieve with my lips. I was so nervous when I walked into his room; it’s a huge step having work done to your face and I didn’t want to end up not looking like me any more. It was so important to me that my doctor/clinician knew exactly what they were doing and John certainly did. He talked through the procedure with me in detail, showed me using a mirror how he could use Juvederm injections to add volume and lift the corners of the lips, without looking fake or unnatural.
“I decided to go ahead with the procedure there and then, feeling fully reassured and confident that John knew exactly what I was trying to achieve. He applied numbing cream, I waited for approximately 20 minutes for it to kick in and off we went! That evening and the next day my lips did swell up a fair bit but I was made aware that would happen and therefore knew not to panic! I had also ensured I was off work the next day for my own comfort.
“Aftercare is equally important to John and Liz and they are always at the end of an email if you have any questions or concerns. After about 10 days, all the swelling had gone and I could see the final result: incredible!
“Fuller, lifted, natural looking lips and not a trout pout in sight!
“John did such a good job that I went back after 6 months for a top up, when I noticed that most of the product had naturally dissolved, and will continue to do this for the foreseeable future. Thank you John and Liz!”
