In his latest video, Mulberry House Clinic founder Dr John Tanqueray discusses how age influences the choice of skin treatment.
Not only which treatments might be of interest, but also how the techniques vary to suit the patient's changing requirements.
- Before 30's: unlikely to see much ageing changes, lip enhancement is popular, treatment for skin conditions (e.g. acne) or body treatments (e.g. laser hair removal)
- 30's: first signs of ageing appear e.g. fine lines. At this age, a small correction can make a big difference e.g. anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin care
- 40's: during this time ageing changes can become more apparent, making the patient look angry, tired or sad so that they don't look how they feel on the inside! The right treatment can help improve and maintain features
- 50+: age should be no barrier to treatment, there are patients in their 70's and even 80's. The key is to look good for your age rather than expect miracles or over-do treatments
