Dermal Filler FAQs

Your Dermal Filler questions answered

What are they?

These are clear hyaluronic acid gels that are injected to add volume under the skin. They have been in use around the world over a number of years and are natural and safe products. The products we use are not derived from animal sources.

How long does treatment last?

Depending on the area treated and the product used the usual duration is from 6 months up to 18 months. We have a good number of clients who derive benefit for longer than this.

How soon do I see an effect?

Immediately – the material shows results straight away. Some further improvement often follows as the gel absorbs water, further moisturising the deeper skin layers.

Your VOLUMA questions answered

When do I see results?

Immediately!

Does it look and feel natural?

Absolutely – from the moment it is injected the texture feels part of you, and restores natural contours of the cheek and other areas.

Are there any side-effects?

Quite often there are no immediate side-effects, just the great look. Sometimes there is some redness which will settle quite quickly, and there may be some bruising afterwards. Other side-effects are very rare and are the same as with any dermal filler.

How long will it last?

The effects will last for 12 to 18 months.

How do I know it is safe?

VOLUMA is a hyaluronic acid filler like others in the Juvederm range that has been used widely for a good few years. The only difference is the concentration of hyaluronic acid, which gives its capacity for lift.

How much does it cost?

A 1ml syringe costs £310. This is in fact very good value when you think that a 0.55ml syringe of Juvederm 2 costs £220 – it is worth bearing in mind that when used correctly a little VOLUMA can make a big impact.
