Heatwave Misery for Sweating Sufferers
With temperatures up in the 30’s, the UK has suffered and those inclined to sweat have found the higher temperatures even more difficult.
Around two million people in the UK suffer from hyperhidrosis – a condition also known as excessive sweating – which means that they sweat above average. This is a year round condition, so they even sweat on cold days; but when the temperatures are high, it’s even more prolific.
The most common area for excessive sweating is the underarms, where sufferers often have visible damp patches, sometimes with body odour. Sufferers can try to deal with the problem by showering, changing clothes and using stronger antiperspirant, but that doesn’t stop the sweating, just makes it less obvious or unpleasant.
Sweat Reduction Injections
Hyperhidrosis Injections offer months of relief for those that have the condition.
The treatment involves a series of tiny injections of BOTOX (botulinum toxin) into the armpit This blocks the signals that cause the body to sweat and starts to work almost immediately.
The results last several months, but when they wear off, treatment can simply be repeated.
