PRP Treatment Areas

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy – known as PRP for short – is a facial rejuvenation technique that has become increasingly popular in recent years, thanks in part to certain celebrities who credit it with their youthful complexions.

The treatment is based on harnessing the powerful healing power of a patient’s blood platelets by purifying a sample of the patient’s blood to make it rich in platelets, key cells and proteins. The platelet rich plasma is then reapplied to the skin where it works to stimulate healing and restoration. The treatment has medical applications as well as cosmetic and is used for patients with burns to promote skin healing, showing how powerful it is.

In anti-ageing treatments, PRP therapy can be used on any area of skin, including the face or body. The main areas are the face, neck, décolleté and hands and in particular the delicate skin around the eyes – an area which is prone to fine lines and wrinkles due to the thinness of the skin, but is traditionally very difficult to treat effectively
