How to Choose a Skin Treatment Doctor

how to choose a skin treatment doctor7 Questions to Ask

In his latest video, Mulberry House Clinic founder Dr John Tanqueray explains how to choose a skin treatment provide.

He says:

“It goes without saying that you want to find a clinic you can trust to give you good advice and deliver your treatments competently and safely and be there afterwards if you have any questions.”

“This is likely to be a long term relationship so it’s very important you make the right decision.”

He suggests 7 crucial questions to help you check your practitioner’s credentials and experience. These should be asked at the consultation before you commit to undertaking any treatment.

  1. What are your background and qualifications?
  2. What specialist training have you had?
  3. What products do you use and why?
  4. How many treatments have you performed?
  5. Have you had any complications? If so, how have you dealt with them?
  6. Will I be able to contact you promptly if I have any questions?
  7. If there is a problem you cannot treat yourself, what would you do?

Don’t feel uncomfortable about asking – any good practitioner should be happy to answer your questions fully. If the answers don’t give you confidence about their skills, knowledge or experience, then see another doctor. It is vital to make the right decision.
