Gwyneth Paltrow Thermage Radio-Frequency Treatment

thermageSays it 'took a couple of years off' her face

A-list actress Gwyneth Paltrow is 40, but looks very much younger, radiating clear skin and good health. Unlike other celebrities, she is quite open about the products and treatments she has used to help her achieve her youthful skin and recently raved about the results of Thermage radiofrequency skin treatment.

The A-list actress said:

I don't mind a few wrinkles and freckles.

I had this laser treatment recently, Thermage, and it took a couple of years off my face but I haven't had any plastic surgery yet.

Thermage radio-frequency treatment offers exceptional rejuvenation results without surgery and has been nick-named "the face ironing treatment" due to its power to smooth out wrinkles and lines. The treatment has also been linked to Amanda Holden and Kim Cattrall.

Supermodel Linda Evangelista is also a fan and uses the treatment regularly as part of her beauty routine, saying:

For me, it's for enhancement, like hair colour or make-up.

Thermage works by plumping up the lower layers, boosting the levels of collagen deep within the skin and creating a tightening effect. It is a safe, non-invasive treatment which gives particularly natural-looking results as it works to improve the skin's own structure and resilience. Results build over a period of around 6 months while the skin's internal repair mechanisms work on its natural regeneration.

As it uses radio-frequency waves to stimulate collagen renewal, Thermage is able to work deep within the skin without damaging its surface, which provides an advantage over other treatments which break the surface of the skin and are therefore more noticeable
