Advanced Lip Fillers
Lip enhancement has become one of the most frequently chosen cosmetic treatments in the UK today.
Facial fillers are traditionally used to fight the signs of ageing, adding volume to lines and creases for smoother, firmer and more youthful skin.
However, lip fillers offer benefits from a much younger age and are popular among those in their 20's and beyond.
At a younger age fillers are used aesthetically. The fullness and shape of the lips are very important factors in the overall appearance of a person's mouth and smile. Lip fillers can be used not only to add volume to the lips, but also to develop the shape. It may be about adding balance where one lip is naturally thinner than the other, or else more of a "cupid's bow" shape. There are a number of ways in which lip enhancement can be used to sculpt an attractive shape and profile without risking the infamous "trout pout".
However, for older clients, lip fillers are used more to restore volume that has been lost, lift the mouth corners or soften lines around the mouth. This is especially the case for smokers, where fine lines and creases can become quite pronounced on and around the lip area. Fillers can be used to gently replenish the lost volume for a more youthful appearance.
Juvederm Volbella Lip Filler
Juvederm® Volbella™ is a revolutionary NEW Lip Filler from Allergan, the makers of Juvederm and Botox. It has been designed specifically for use in lip enhancement and offers a number of advantages over standard fillers when used for the lips.
As a purpose-made lip filler, the results feel particularly soft and natural for the patient. In addition, the filler can be used very effectively to create a defined shape.
As with other Juvederm products, Volbella includes some lidocaine local anaesthetic, making the injection experience very comfortable even in the most delicate and sensitive lip area, which is not the case with some other fillers.
The product has been formulated to minimise swelling and recovery time, so patients can return straight back to normal activities.
However, perhaps the greatest benefit for patients is that the results last much longer than with traditional fillers – up to 12 months before the treatment needs to be repeated, making it an easy and cost-effective choice.
