Facial Peels Treatments
Peels are useful for an improvement in the skin tone and texture that you can see and feel. They are also used as treatment for acne and acne scarring. We recommend one of two peel regimens:
Agera Rx: 
These are vitamin C and fruit acid peels that exfoliate and stimulate the skin from within, rather than burning through the outer skin layer. Given as a course, the strength of peel can be increased as the skin gets used to the treatment. These peels do not interfere with day-to-day life, as they cause minimal or no redness afterwards.
Innovation Concept Peel (ICP):
This is a stronger peel that is applied in the clinic and then removed at home after a number of hours. The package includes skin treatments that are then applied over the next one month. Following the peel there is some redness for 1-3 days afterwards, but there is no weeping or breakdown of the skin.
Useful for antiageing effects, acne and pigmentation.
Unusually for a stronger peel, this can be used safely on the darkest skin types, making it especially useful for pigmentation problems for individuals with Asian and Afro-Caribbean skin types.
TCA peels
These are deeper peels that are given over one to four treatments. The results will be more pronounced than with Agera Rx peels, but there will be some downtime in the form of redness and peeling for 7 - 10 days afterwards
OBAGI blue peel
OBAGI Blue Peel is a peel that gives younger, healthier looking skin. It helps with sun damage, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and acne scars.
OBAGI Blue Peel is unique because it allows us to accurately control the depth and speed that the peel penetrates. This is done by combining the peeling solution, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), with a special blue base.
A “Designer Peel”, the Blue Peel is tailored to your individual needs, both in terms of the improvements you are looking for and the time you can spare for skin recovery to take place.
The peel process itself takes 20-30 minutes during which a series of layers of solution are applied to the skin. With each coat a hot sensation will be felt for a couple of minutes, and this can be controlled with a fan.
By the end of the procedure the face appears blue – much of this colour is washed off with cleanser.
Afterwards the skin may appear reddened, and after 2-3 days some peeling will start. Following a lighter peel this process is mild and will be finished within a short time, after a deeper peel the peeling can take up to 7 or 10 days to complete.
After the process has finished the dead skin cells will be replaced by healthier ones so that the skin will appear and feel smoother, clearer and tighter.
Depending on the effects you wish to achieve the Blue Peel can be repeated. You may decide to have a series of lighter peels to create the same effect as one or two deeper ones.
